A Train Carrying Republican Lawmakers Is Involved in a Fatal Crash

The Amtrak train chartered to carry members of Congress to their annual retreat collided with a truck in Virginia, killing one person in the truck and seriously injuring another.

On Wednesday at 11:20 AM in Crozet, Virginia, a train carrying Republican members of Congress, their families, and staff to a GOP retreat in West Virginia collided with a dump truck on the tracks, according to an Amtrak spokesperson.
