Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri)

Commonly called water hyssop or herb of grace and often confused with gotu kola, Bacopa monnieri is a non-aromatic perennial creeping wetlands herb. It’s a popular herb in Ayurvedic medicine where it’s known as brahmi after Brahma, the creator god in the Hindu pantheon.

Bacopa is grown in many countries of the world today, mainly as an aquarium plant. In Ayurveda it’s considered a a herb that sharpens the mind and intellect, and has 1400 years of recorded studies. It
