    Roses have always been symbols of love, seduction and sensuality. Cleopatra greeted Mark Antony on a carpet of rose petals so thick you couldn’t see the ground and had the sails of her barge soaked in essence of roses. Rich Ancient Romans even swam in pools of rosewater.
