Ute Sketch

MATERIALS

• Black Canson paper.

• Artists’ quality coloured pencils.

THE PROCESS

In creating the sketch of this hot rod ute, I wanted to get the image down as quickly and fluidly as possible – so I chose to use A3 Canson paper. I find with this substrate I can achieve quick results.

I also like using black as a background, as it feels less inhibiting for me to start working on. Another benefit with Canson is that I can change the layout several times
