When I was swim. The river descends through a series of pools. The lush greens of indigenous forest and crystal clear water are enchanting. The silence echoes... There is no trail through the gorge; you follow the water. Towards the end, the lower Blindekloof day hike trail is clear enough. Take a last dip in the pool one, before you climb up to a picnic table and the few kilometres return you to the office. This is a beautiful place which preserves a minimally developed wilderness of yesteryear. You can drink from the river, but there is no water on the jeep track. Go in a group, carry strapping, and be aware of what you're getting into.
