Panasonic S1R now on sale
New flagship full-frame mirrorless shoots 47MP images, with a strong line-up of compatible lenses presented by Sigma
Panasonic chose The Photography Show as the place to put its flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, the Lumix S1R, on sale for the first time – alongside its baby brother the S1. The cameras and the new L-mount lens alliance (see right) were first announced back at Photokina in Germany last September.
With its 47-megapixel sensor and 5.5-stop in-body image stabiliser, this 9fps camera is built with professionals in mind. The S1R is the star of the Lumix line-up, so check back next month to read our full field review and lab test.
