John Wade's article in AP 20 April, is a real breath of fresh air in today's world of auto-focusing, exposure control and multiple programs. Today even a modern professional camera can be reduced to a point and shoot, leading to some pretty dire results, as Eric Anderson mentions in his letter in the same AP issue.
