      Well, this book was a good surprise.

      Actually, the 3/4 of it. I really liked this book up to about 75% when the shit hits the fan and all the crazy drama starts. I know that every book needs some drama in the end but I really didn't like the one I found here.

      I have some serious doubts about Taryn. She is not as strong heroine as I hoped she would be. For once she wants to protect Ryan but a minute later she questions everything about him, his attachment and their future together. I got that she had some problems in the past but still, that's really annoying. She just can't make up her mind and she totally lacks self-confidence.

      She also has some serious problem with money. She completely can not accept any gifts from Ryan or the fact that he could pay for anything. She even doesn't accept sharing the costs. No, she feels the obligation to pay for everything, even for his things, even if her business is losing money because of that. If the situation was only slightly different, I would say that she wants to bind him in that way, so he would feel like her debtor and doesn't leave her. That's not a healthy relationship.

      And I definitely don't like the way Taryn deals with the situation with Kyle. The guy makes everything to destroy her relationship and to annoy Ryan (including telling lies) but after a big quarrel she still finds him sweet and sexy and lets him be close to her. And it is not that she doesn't have any other male friends she can rely on and feel safe. She tells him twice to go away and then she accepts without one word when he comes back. I don't get it!

      Judging by the last actions of Taryn and Ryan, I have some doubts if they will be together after few years. The problems they have are really deep and serious. And can't be solved with an engagement ring and a conversation. Taryn's lack of self-confidence is not a thing that can be easily defeated. The story ends with them being happy and talking about the future but to be honest I think they have a lot work to do.

      I'm giving this story four stars but I'm not quite convinced. I know there is a second book in this series about the future of Taryn and Ryan but I'm not really into reading it right now. I don't think I'm ready for another batch of Taryn's problems.

      Great book!!! I love love love Ryan and Taryn!! This is only the second book that I've read where the characters actually seemed real. This book follows Ryan, who is a famous actor, and Taryn, who owns a bar, on their journey to finding true love. Can't wait to read the second book to see what happens!!

      If you're looking for a great book with a little bit of drama and a lot of aww then this is the book!!

      I started reading this book and was immediately drawn in by the characters. I love the way Ryan and Taryn established a friendship that developed into love. The chemistry was definitely there, and you just knew it was going to reach the boiling point. By the time they actually had sex, I was thinking "Sleep with him already." The build up lead to a wonderful physical relationship. The couple had their ups and downs, and it was interesting to see how they worked through their past heart breaks and trust issues. It was intelligent, very comical at times, and there were moments of grief that were palpable. I cried. There is nothing sexier than a story about a man who could have any woman he wanted, and is totally devoted to one.The book was really long. I read a lot and it took me almost a whole week to read it.I was given this book for free in exchange for a review.

      I felt it was the same thing over and over again, and I was finding myself feeling annoyed as I kept reading it. It was "this is going to be hard, then we will be ok, and this is too hard, and again and again." Not one of my favorites.

      Okay, I don't normally write reviews because I'm terrible at it, but here goes...

      The book seemed long. It took me several hours to read it over a two day period. I've always wondered if I could write a book about my mundane life and have people pay money to read it. This book is sort of like that. Although, these characters aren't leading mundane lives, their insecurities are constantly at the forefront and we are CONSTANTLY reminded of them. I think that the constant inner-struggles with insecurity adds unnecessary length to the novel.

      Having said all of that, I still liked the book. The trials of their relationship and how they constantly fight to stay together are touching and sweet. What girl doesn't want a guy who will fight for her? I did wonder while reading this if they way Ryan felt is something that actors truly experience...did the author do research? I don't know. But, for me, someone who spends her life in classroom teaching math to high school students, it all seemed plausible to me.

      I will read the sequel. However, if the entire book is a continuation of the same conflict, Ryan and Taryn surviving a relationship in the spotlight, I think I will stop reading. There will have to be a new obstacle to overcome for me to be interested enough to read it. I don't want the same problems in a different book.

      This book was waaaaaaaaaaay too long and repetetive. I think some editing would have been handy. Maybe cut out 300 pages or so? It just seemed like a lot of the same scenes over and over - complaining about the fans, her insecurities, is he/she unfaithful...ugh. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been so long and just seeming to beat the same dead horse over and over.

      I waffled a bit on the stars here. The writing was better than most in this sub-genre, so it could have gotten a 4. And it had slightly more plot than most in this sub-genre. Also, in it's favor, but I really hated the girl. And I hated that he was deserving mostly of better but kind of too pathetic to demand it.

      It had a fresh take on the meeting--star dashes into her bar to escape crazy fans chasing him down the streets of a seaside town where he's filming a mega film. He kind of settles into normal guydom with her for awhile, and it's nice. He meets the friends, plays a little poker, goes to her special family cabin and fishes with her. Normal things. Where I raise a brow but still stick with the author is the stalker who doesn't like the girlfriend. I get that and it's probably real. Where it took aleft turn at unrecoverable crazytown is the Ryan lying about his latest affair coupled with mega actress conspiring with the random security guy and bellboy?!? And then let's cement our hatred for the protagonist as a total headcase when she nearly gets hit by a car in the rain (of course) thinking he's cheating on her (he's not).

      If you take it from the perspective of two flawed people, it's not half bad. But the rest of the contrived action plot pieces get in the way.

      First this was a very long story. I really liked it and look forward to the second book. That isn’t to say that there weren’t some things that annoyed me. If I read the word giggle one more time I might have screamed, except for that is was a great read. There were a lot of ups and downs that were fun to ride out.

      Taryn is a pub owner with self-esteem and trust issues when it comes to men. Yet she is also strong and confident in business and is not looking for love in any way. She is fiercely loyal to her friends. I got to go through Taryn’s struggle with a relationship in the public eye. I could feel her pain, especially in Florida. The fight to get over the betrayal and hurt in her past comes across clearly.

      Ryan is just a regular guy who happens to be a famous actor. His struggle is convincing Taryn that he’s with her for life. He loves her and would never hurt her. I was so caught up in the story and loved feeling as if I was right there as they lived.

      The side characters were great and I’d love to read more about them in the future. I didn’t notice any issues with editing, or I was so into the story I missed them. I said before that this is a long book but it’s well done. Not a lot of time on descriptions or other fillers. The detail on their friends and the side stories was enjoyable.

      Ryan and Taryn are the perfect real life couple full of flaws and sorry commons, but completely in love with each other....Tina Reber did a great job of creating characters that I can't get our of my head. I can't wait to continue their story in the next book! :

      this book brought my emotions all over the place at the the end. at the start of the book everything seemed great. there was everyday antics of a small town bar owner with a broken heart, and you just know that something is going To happen. now, this was a long book and by that I mean the first 75% was fairly life changing. yes, there are the ups and downs but once you pass that .75 mark the action and heartache just shaders your world. Everything was to good to be true, Ryan showed his true colors to Taryan and they hit it off great. But of corse no matter who you are life is going to show you how much you can handle, and these two can handle an apocalypse. I love the main characters and even the supporting characters hold their own. At times I wanted to shack these two and tell hem how stupid they were being, but someone else did that job for me. I could it put this book down even when I tried, once I was getting towards the end I had to leave for work, all day at work I just kept thinking what is going o happen next. It was also at a critical point in their relationship and my emotion were all over the place, needing the answers. Finally at midnight I got all my answers and man was it worth it. There are some really great lines in this book that portray the personalities of these characters perfectly. They also leave you breathless,giddy,shattered,bleeding,broken, I could go on with everything you feel in this book. Tins research shows in the book with the details of life as a movie star with adoring fans, paparazzi, and the work that actually goes into being an actor. I have to say that I enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out what happens next

      This book is loooooooooooooooooooong. Much of it could have been cut out but right about the time I started to get annoyed with it, the fireworks started. I waver between a 3 and a 4 star rating with this book. Reber is going to be a good writer. This one kind of seemed like practice at times, but I think she will polish up nicely as she writes more. The characters are great. I could picture them very clearly in my mind: what they looked like, how they moved. These characters definitely have life to them. But I must say again: THIS BOOK IS LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. Please Tina, try to keep it under 450ish. 700 is a little ridiculous.

      This is part one of a series of two books that tell the story of how 27-year-old Seaport, Rhode Island pub owner Taryn Mitchell got together with the hot movie star Ryan Christensen, who serendipitously ducked into her pub one day to escape his screaming fans. Taryn is probably one of the few women on the planet who has never seen Ryan's films, and treats him like a regular person. Before long, they are in love. But there are a lot of obstacles: Ryan doesn't just have women throwing themselves at him all day long; he also makes movies in which he is the romantic lead. Taryn not only has to learn to cope with the “fandemonium” and potential jealousy over his acting roles, but also the pressure of constant paparazzi and tabloid lies that threaten to destroy their happiness.Evaluation: Much to my amazement, I enjoyed this book, even though I usually don't go for Hollywood celebrity stories. I really did get a lot better insight into how media personalities themselves react to all the attention, how hard it is for their significant others, and how hard it is on them not to be able to have a “real life.”

This story began beautifully, I was hooked. Taryn is a practical woman, she is the sole owner of Mitchell's Pub due to the unfortunate death of her father. She doesn't get her best friend Marie, or the female patrons, manic interest in the movie stars, especially Ryan Christensen the lead male in the movie being filmed in their small town of Seaport, Rhode Island. One morning while she is getting the bar stocked and ready to open later that day she rescues Ryan from a crazed mob of screaming fans and paparazzi by sneaking him in the pub and telling them he went out the back. They spend the day together and we fall in love with Ryan too. The back half of this book was a little torturous for me. I kept getting frustrated with Taryn's doubt and her issues and I wanted to reach through the pages and slap some sense into her. She was also amazingly level headed at times when I would have been spitting fire or a sobbing mess. This book managed to put those tight emotional bands across my chest and get me all over-emotional so I would say it was pretty freaking great. If I'm getting invested in a book enough to get frustrated with the characters then it's a damned good book.The next book in the series...Love #2: Love Unrehearsed

      I read this book before it was picked up by one of the top 6. It was extremely long and had a lot going on but I enjoy those kind of books. I like books that have immerse you in every detail of the characters lives to really tell every aspect of the story. I have had book 2 sitting on my kindle app for the longest time but I have a rather large TBR pile in front of it.

      Overall I liked this book but felt that it needs some more editing. The story premise was good (famous actor falls for ordinary pub owner) but the characters fluctuated from being believable to feeling false. The dialog was very formal in places and just did not ring true too many times.

      The story spends a lot of time describing the development of the relationship between the two main characters. While this slow pace helps the reader believe the relationship is real, at times this development just seemed to drag. Then other parts of the story had very little development. Kyle the bodyguard becomes obsessively in love with Taryn after guarding her for a few days. There is nothing in their interactions during their time together to indicate this could or would possibly happen other than Taryn's comments to herself that he is good looking and acknowledging that she is attracted to him.

      Another stupid thing that bothered me was the fact that the pub did not have a functioning kitchen. Rhode Island (like PA, the author's home state) requires that an establishment selling alcohol must have a functioning kitchen and offer food. The lack of kitchen was mentioned a number of times so it was not possible to ignore this. While this sounds like nit picking on my part, it was things like this that left me feeling disjointed from the story.

      I read this on the Kindle and found many formatting errors that were distracting. Every apostrophe was a quote instead, there were line breaks where they shouldn't be, word spacing was missing in places and there were a few places where random parts of a sentence were inserted. I received this from the publisher through NetGally so perhaps those formatting errors were due to the copy I received and are not present in the official version from Amazon.

      The book has the potential for a 5 star rating (as many other reviewers seem to be giving it) but without some editing (of the story as well as the formatting) I just do not see this as a 5 star book.

      I realize how much work authors put into their books, however I can't give this book more than 1 star. I'm not sure what happened but from the very beginning I couldn't get into the story.

      This books has various similarities with "The unidentified Redhead" (which I absolutely loved) and maybe that's my problem. Without trying to be mean or saying that's what happened (I haven't checked publication dates of the books) but this feels like a very, very cheap version of "The unidentified Redhead".

      Once again the female lead has a ton of insecurities and I might just be sick of reading about this kind of thing. While this is something I can tolerate in other books, it totally sets me on edge in Love Unscipted.

      Love Unscripted contains so much whining, I want to throw my ebook reader against a wall. Out of the 600 something pages, 550 pages deal with Taryn and Ryan whining about the "fan problem" and creating unneccessary drama. It's almost like the author had nothing else to write about.

      I'm not even sure what to say about the writing. I'm so annoyed that I probably can't be very neutral anymore and the smallest things about this book put me off.

      The author repeats things so often, it borders on obsession. 300 pages would've still been too much to tell this story as I've read probably 20 times now how much the fans suck, how Taryn is totally insecure, how much the fans suck, how Ryan wants a home, how much the fans suck, how Taryn is jealous beyond reason and how much the fans suck. Did I mention how often the topic of the obsessive fans is covered?

      I've also never seen a book with that many exclamation marks. It's like the characters go around all day long yelling at each other.

      Yuck, I better stop ranting now.

      I received a copy of Love Unscripted through NetGalley and the publisher.Taryn is a 3rd generation pub owner in Rhode Island, where the new movie Seaside, is filming. Ryan is the heartthrob in Seaside, and the fans are going bat shit crazy whenever they catch a glimpse of him. Ryan meets Taryn while he's running from the crazy fans, escaping into her pub. They strike up conversation, and are instantly attracted to each other.While I enjoyed the story of Love Unscripted, I felt it was almost too long. I was happy that the characters were older, 27 year olds, but a lot of the dialogue and flirting seemed a bit immature at times. Maybe I've just been tied down so long I don't know what proper flirting is anymore? Either way, I was intrigued with the struggles that Ryan and Taryn faced, with him being in the spot light and her being a regular girl. I never took the time to ponder what celebrities go through to try to have a private life, and how hard it must be on any partners they have. Hence, Taryn's insecurities that she couldn't measure up to the other actresses because she was a nobody. Makes you wonder how Matt Damon's wife handled things, hmmm? So while the story kept me engaged, and at times seemed to be repetitive and drag out, I AM interested in the sequel, Love Unrehearsed.

      Definitely rushed but it was enjoyable for a 200+ paged book. I really thought they could have given them more depth. I mean, I loved Alexa and Nick, kind-of. He came off as a "tortured" guy, but not that I-really-want-to-comfort-this-guy-even-until-the-world-ends type of torture so I didn't really grow to care for him. His issues lacked promise. It was a vague history, just put out there and added some characters to prove his setbacks. If the book was longer, he really could have been a swoon worthy guy! He sounds dreamy but in all honesty, he didn't really make my inner goddess do cartwheels. (I'm still coming off of a mental and emotional high from the Fifty Shades trilogy). My heart warmed considerably at Taylor and the rest of Alexa's family. They remind me of the gentle hostility that my own family does when they grill an upcoming candidate for the family. I just about bursted with fits of "awww" on that bathroom scene with Nick and Taylor. It was beyond cute. As I said, I love Alexa's character. She was compassionate and radiating the sheer line of a woman to a treasure, and that's just what Nick needed. She was playful and headstrong as well. Probably one of the few heroines in a fictional book that I can salute to! She was definitely no Bella Swan or Anastasia Steele (although, I think Ana is headstrong at some points in the books, sometimes not in the most likeable moments).Very cheesy and cliche. The plot wasn't really something new and that shouldn't come off as a surprise. With this book, you won't be charged too guilty if you liked the going against the quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover" because the picture and the title screams exactly what it is. Oh, Jennifer Probst... why couldn't you just go all out with this one? I could've put those 5 stars into a permanent rest but after finishing, I was satisfied but I really felt like I just read the synopsis of the book.Maybe she'll make this a series with the same character or different characters within the same promising tone of the stories. The "billionaire" gig. Who knows, but I'm looking forward to reading her new materials if she did produce some.PS.I had like Dejavu and thought of the ABC movie, My Fake Fiancee, while reading this book

      Love Unscripted by Tina Reber is an deliciously delightful book that will leave you wanting more. This story takes place in Seaport, Rhode Island. A quiet town until a film crew takes over the town. Taryn runs her family owned bar in this quaint little town. Not only is she put out by all the commotion the filming is causing she also doesn't get the appeal of the film's star, Ryan Christensen. Cupid has it out for these two characters because when their paths cross. BAM! Sparks fly. They have problems that any normal couple might have: insecurities, jealousy, stalkers, evil exes trying to ruin lives. The story line in this novel is good. It kept me captivated the entire time. I got so caught up in the character's lives I did not want to put this book down. Although this book is a really good read, some of the issues that the couple face in this book seemed a bit redundant to me. For instance Taryn's insecurities over the couple's future kept popping up. I think the author is trying to drive the point of how hard it would be to date a celebrity especially if their lives are so different from one another. However I thought it was a tad overdone. Overall I really like this book. It is entertaining, sexy and a darn good read. The characters are both really likable. Ryan is a heart-throb to say the least while Taryn is a hard working, independent woman. They have great chemistry together. If you're looking for a good romance to read, this is it.
