- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The four obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive once again provide some great insight on simple concepts that are profoundly thought-provoking. I really enjoy Lencioni's style and hope to build more of his principles into my own life.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The author uses a parable or a fictional story to illustrate four key principles that separate extraordinary executives from the rest of the pack. I thought the story was very interesting and the characters were real and well developed. The story demonstrates the issues caused by failing to practice the obsessions and helps you remember them too.The obsessions are classic, but not ordinary or ones that I have found in other leadership books. When listening to this audiobook, the issues covered were very much on my mind as my employer experienced some of the same problems as the characters in the story experienced. I've listened to this book about 3 times now and really enjoy it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book! My first Patrick Lencioni book and I really enjoyed his viewpoint on how a business’ organizational health is so important and why. As a business owner I see how much organizational health affects the workplace and many of the authors points made sense and helped clarify my thoughts on it. I would highly recommend this book if you are a business owner with employees.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book. Very relatable stories. Concept of healthy organization is critical.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well put together and informative. This book changes the view point of how organizations should operate and is applicable to any organization.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5brilliant - loved the way that the story was told.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An interesting take on organisational design and health. Some reoccurring themes from The dysfunctional teams book, but not quite as captivating. I guess the author is reaffirming his belief in repetition being key.
And enjoyable, easy listen none the less. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fantastic book! The principles are laid out in such a well written and flowing novel format. You get the points and realise the practical applications as you go along. I kept thinking.. How am. I going to implement these principles.. And then realized that it's telling me as I go along. The end with its very practical roundup was very clear and concise.. Well worth the time to read and listen to
