About this audiobook
Nick Cominsky's spiritual life is running on empty. With his passion diluted by religious routine and the sapping circumstances of everyday life, he longs to reconnect with God, but following the standard spiritual prescriptions just isn't working. Since when did loving God become such an overwhelming, tedious task? After meeting Jesus in person under amazing circumstances six years ago, Nick figured life would be smooth sailing, not coasting downhill. Why didn't Jesus tell him how to make the Christian life work? Just when Nick is stopped dead in his tracks-stranded on the side of the highway with an empty gas tank and miles to go-he finds himself in rich company once more. Jesus has returned to give Nick the refueling he desperately needs. And like their first meeting, it's not at all what he expects. "You must know, in the depths of your being, how deeply you are loved." On a highway of unusual adventures, Nick finds that a Night with a Perfect Stranger might be just what he needs to make it back home.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was really good. The format of the author's way in which he presents Christ's teaching on what it means to be of Christ and in Christ was mind-boggling. There is a part in the book where the character is sitting down with another guy in a restaurant with Jesus there and their conversation on spirits and the spiritual realm was fascinating. It's interesting that my wife and I have had conversations about how Western Christianity put aside the mystical and spiritual part of the faith and relies mainly on logic and reason with a bent on doctrinal teachings of the faith. I think this book does a wonderful job in merging all those parts mystical, spiritual, emotional, logical, and doctrinal all in one. I love the question at the end of the book read the author is telling his story of how he came to this reality and the question was presented in a small group he was a part of when him and his wife came to Faith. Has anybody actually been with Jesus?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Jesus used David Gregory to speak to the frustrations of living a rules-bound Christian life that does not draw you closer to God. It's easy to miss developing your relationship with Jesus and this book forces you to think out of the religious box and engage with the Lord in a real way.
