    In the summer of 1910, a race began. A race to be the first man at the South Pole, in Antarctica. Robert Falcon Scott, an Englishman, left London in his ship, the Terra Nova, and began the long journey south. Five days later, another ship also began to travel south. And on this ship was Roald Amundsen, a Norwegian. But Antarctica is the coldest place on earth, and it is a long, hard journey over the ice to the South Pole. Some of the travellers never returned to their homes again. This is the story of Scott and Amundsen, and of one of the most famous and dangerous races in history.

      This story is true in 1911.Robert Scott in England and Roald Amundsen in Norway both try to arrival at the South Pole.But they put up a bad fight.I enjoyed reading this story.It is interesting for Scott and Amundsen's way to get to the South Pole.I want to know more particular this story.

      This story is true.The men race to the south pole. It was very hard for them.The reason is that nobody has been to the south pole yet. This book is easy to understand.I feel that these men are very storong.They had to endure hungry,cold,tired.But when I read this book,I was exciting.We acclaim them.

About 100 years ago, a group of British explorers, led by Captain Scott, and a group of Norwegians, led by Roald Amundsen, were trying to become the first people ever to get to the South Pole. It's a very famous story, and this book tells it in a short, simple but still interesting way.The book also contains some real photos of the men. I enjoyed it a lot.

There were many trouble each other, but both countries strove to get there. I could know the back of history about south pole. I thought "waht a hard trip to get south pole".
