About this audiobook

A warrior prince...

A woman of science...

A quest for a lost star... Atlantis is unleashed.

Lord Justice made the ultimate sacrifice for his brother and paid for it with an unimaginable torture. Now he's back, rescued from death, his sanity shaken, and his mission inescapable-the search for the lost Star of Artemis. But the beautiful human female whom he has sworn to protect is shadowed by an evil that could destroy them both.

The archaeological artifacts of Atlantis speak to Dr. Keely McDermott, sharing visions of life long ago. The ancient revelations have cast her into a world between past and present, between reality and illusion-and, when she meets the fierce Atlantean warrior assigned to guard her, between terror and temptation. Now, as their two worlds collide, so too will danger and desire...

Keely McDemott is a lover of history, and is a archaeologist. Keely is also a object reader and has to be very careful what she lets herself touch, especially if a object has too much violence and history attached to it. Her parents have always considered her a bit crazy, but Keely knows that she can use her gift to help. When a stranger approaches her to go to a distant place with enough archaeological finds to satisfy every appetite. So she reluctantly agrees to go to this "Atlantis", even though she doubts its true existence. Lord Justice has sacrificed himself to a evil goddess, to save his brothers. When he manages to barely escape her realm "the void", and making it safely back to Atlantis, the moment he sees Keely both sides of himself claims her for his own. All he knows is that she is "His" and none other. Justice is half Nereid, and half prince, and has kept that secret until now. When they learn of the location of a certain jewel that is from Poseidon's Trident, both Justice and Keely go in search of it. What they encounter is danger and a flaming passion and a love to encompass them both.Atlantis Unleashed is the third installment in the Warriors of Poseidon series that Alyssa Day has created. So far I have read the first three books in audio format and what a thrilling ride. I have been loving listening to these audio books, and Atlantis Unleashed is a personal favorite. The narrator was very talented and even though I do get a bit picky about male narrators at times, I felt like the narrator for this book did a outstanding job. It can be hard to find one you really like and can stand listening to. However I felt like he portrayed the story in its truest form. The story instantly picks up from the last book, where there was a cliffhanger with Justice giving himself up. We start to see the strength and endurance that Justice has. Justice hasn't had a easy living ever since he was born. Justice has had struggles, and we see that he has two sides of himself, and tries to put his darker half under the rug. But when he meets Keely, all bets are off. Justice has never had a harder time controlling the Nereid, but Keely doesn't fear any part of him, she starts to fully accept him. Keely is thrust into a world of danger and a man who stirs her blood and calls to the deepest part of her. At first Keely doesn't want to admit her feelings for this magnificent man, however as they both are going on a mission to find a certain jewel, "The Star of Artemis", she starts to accept Justice and accept who he is and that he is a part of her future. There is quite a bit of factors involved in this story, but Justice and Keely are the main attraction, and what a circus of adventures, thrills and a beautiful love story. I would have to say it might be my favorite one so far from this series. Its really hard to say which book I love the most so far, but Atlantis Unleashed was full on emotion and sensation and never let up. From beginning to end I was fully enthralled by this love story and all that factors involved in getting this couple their HEA. ASTOUNDING AND RIVETING!! It will blow your minds!

This is the third book in a series. This book focuses on Lord Justice (book one on Conlan, book two on Ven). Justice is a more complicated character than those in the first two books. The story is more interesting than the first two. Alyssa still focuses on sex, violence, and fantasy characters. I think her writing is improving.

Finally! After a way too long wait, the Atlanteans are back! "Atlantis Unleashed" continues the story of Poseidon's warriors who have been called to save humanity and bring Atlantis back to the surface. To do this, they must gather the missing jewels from Poseidon's trident or Atlantis will crumble rather than rise and humankind will fall to the bad guys.Lord Justice sacrificed himself to save his brothers and ended up tortured by the vampire goddess Anubis. Did I mention she's really good at the torture thing? While escaping, Justice had to open himself to the Nereid side of his nature and now he is two beings in one body...a bit crowded, don't you think? But from his first glmipse of this human woman, Keely, BOTH sides claimed her for his own. Now they are in a desperate race to find the lost star of Artemis and Justice is finding it hard to hold himself back from the woman who is too good for a bastard child of a king.Keely can't quite believe it at first...Atlantis is read and her weird skill can actually help them! When she's taken down to the watery kingdom, she knows this will be the biggest archaeological find of her career...even if she can't tell anyone about it. Then she sees the man she's been dreaming about, Lord Justice, and he claims her like a possession. At first she's frightened, then intrigued, and soon in love. But she'll have to accept BOTH sides of his nature AND convince him that her love doesn't come with a measuring bar.I'm a sucker for this series. The baddies are really bad (mostly vamps and weres) and the good guys are awesome (and WAY sexy). With each book and each warrior's story, I swear that it's my favorite...until the next one comes out. If you like tortured heroes, then Lord Justice is your dream guy. He's tortured physically (by Anubis), mentally (by his dual nature), and psychologically (by his illegitimate birth). That's one screwed up dude! But reading about his early years will bring a tear to your eye and watching him find the woman who loves him for all of him was wonderful. Keely was mentally strong and showed her grit in their search for the stone and fighting their enemies. I see some definite threads for future books in this one.I like the sexy parts of this series, the overarching plotline, the individual plots of each book, the heroes, the heroines, the action, the mysteries...ummm, did I leave anything out? "Atlantis Unleashed" was worth the wait (and that's hard for me to say) but I'm especially happy that "Atlantis Unmasked" is already available so I can continue Alyssa Day's fab series.
