this book started out kinda dull, but as you read on, it really gets better. the life style of the people living on the five stone pillars is really neat, though i have to say that the plot is not all that interesting. still, i love the writing style and the background and characters. and at the end, its really sweet, but i'm not giving anything away. the only thing i really was kinda disappointed in was at the end when sir alistair wakefield or whatever his name is, his book of all his secrets and inventi0ons are lost. thats silly, but maybe in the next book she will find it or something? who knows. anyways, i would reccomend this book. it was a lot like all the ones before it, i mean, the writing style is the same obviously, nothing fast paced but enough to keep your reading. so, yeah - reccomended, but read the first three first!

This is the final book of the series.

Alexa, Yipes and Ronald find themselves traveling across the Lonely Sea on their way to the Five Pillars...little do they know that something very evil is shadowing them. Upon landing at the Five Pillars the evil one has destroyed their ship and has put into motion its plans to take over the Five Pillars.

Alexa is on her way to the Five pillar but on ther approach they were attacked by Abaddon which is in a form of a seacreature. with many arms and turns in fire when he is out of the water. Abaddon was looking for the five pillars because it was place all the castilas that had no family went to. The only people that survive on the boat were Alexa and Yipes. Captain Roland went down with the boat. People swung from the pillars down and caught Alexa and Yipes. This where there journey starts. When go on the fourth pillar where no ever goes nor the fifth pillar. On the foruth pillar they find Wakefields which whould be died because he is about 300-400 years old. Wakefield made a flying device called an airballon. Abaddon is to destroy the five pillars. Abaddon is hitting the fourth pillar to make a domino effect to hit the third, second and first pillar. When Abaddon about it lean to hit the third and so on pillars, something strange happened the fourth pillar went toward the fifth pillar and the fifth pillar fell on Abaddon. Alexa captain of the Ballon called it stargazer. Her task was to bring back the lost child from the five pillar back to the land of Eylon, ot there families.I liked this book because it took us away from the land of elyon for a while. In the book it says that Roland is made for the sea, Warvold is made for land and Alexa is made for flying. I really think thats cool. this is page turner as the other books. I really like the author.

Alexa Daley is on her fourth journey with the Land of Elyon. Not only does she have one challenge she has five. And these five challenges are on the the five pillars above the Lonely Sea. She travels with Roland to the these five pillars and meet a numerous amount of people, children and new friends. As she journeys she still has that evil monster named Abaddon lurking her and he is trying to destroy the pillars so he becomes their king. As Yipes meets his new companion (Matilda) he also goes through challenges with Alexa Daley. She meets Jonezy who is the leader of the people that live on the five stone pillars. Alexa Daley meets a old man named Sir Alistair. He creates something that she was born to do. This creation that Sir Alistair created was the Stargazer. The Stargazer is a big ballon that floats above the water. Alexa Daley uses this for her challenges and succeeds in what she is born to do. Flying the Stargazer. My opinion about this book is enormous. Patrick Carman has fascinating ideas that he puts in his books. These ideas are what lead me to reading his books. The Stargazer was one of my favorite books of all four of them. Alexa Daley not only has one or two missions that she has to complete. She has five and the monster that try's to destroy her, and the five stone pillars. This idea that Patrick Carmen came up with is amazing. He is one of my favorite authors and his book the Stargazer.

The fifth book in the Land of Elyon series (if you count Into the Mist as the fourth even though it's not officially marketed as such) this was my favorite. As Alexa and Yipes arrive at the Five Pillars, they dicover that their enemy, who they believed destroyed, has come back. They must find a way to save the people of the Five Standing Pillars from destruction. This book is better than my hideously boring review makes it sound.
