About this audiobook

The moment Francesca and Ian met, the attraction was mutual, an exquisitely physical charge that ignited between them. To Ian, she was the kind of woman he couldn't resist. She was a true innocent. To Francesca, he was the kind of man she feared and desired-dark, extreme, commanding, and forbidden. What happened between them couldn't be ignored-only indulged, evolving into an inescapable bond. From a private jet to an interlude in Paris, from a daring tryst in a public museum to the intimacy of a luxury hotel, Francesca and Ian come together whenever the need is aroused. But as their relationship grows more intense, Francesca discovers something about Ian-and herself-that forever changes the game and the players. It's something they never expected, something that sends both their lives spinning deliriously out of control . . .

    Quick thoughts and mini review:

I really like Beth Kery's voice and was looking forward to the completed version of Because You Are Mine because I am not a real fan of serials. While I did enjoy the book, I did think this was actually suited better in serial format, because the pacing didn't flow as well as a full book although this is a minor niggle. I also found Ian's character too cool for me to relate to - although I did like how Francesca broke through his walls he set up around him. But if you like the premise of the Bizillionaire and the virgin heroine trope, this was a good take on the premise especially with Kery's gift with love scenes. The BDSM element was well explored and very hot!

From what I can tell, this is just a novel broken up into 2 chapter segments. Honestly, I would have preferred to just read the whole novel instead of having it broken up. That being said, I do like how the story is unfolding in these first two chapters. It does read a lot like Fifty Shades though more intense.

I won the first two installmenst and patiently waited to start reading them until I could read them all together. I finally broke down and started them late Thursday night before the last installment was set to be released not realizing how addicting and short they were. Needless to say I finished them Friday and am now left fustrated wanting to know the ending! I guess it could be worse...way worse!

Ehh...it was okay. If I hadn't already read "50 Shades of Grey" I think I may have liked it better. You can really tell it was a mini series on the internet before it came to this compilation. The characters supporting Francesca and Ian only pop into the story to move the story line along, they never really become part of the story or help the reader see the main characters differently. I would have liked to see more of the roommate dynamic between Francesca and Davie; even the other two males. I am a little sick of the female having a complex about something in her life and then entering a sub/dom relationship. I especially do not believe at their first relationship. I get trying to portray innocence, but there has to be another way.
