- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5You could tell not too far into the book who causing all the problems and the fact that she was so oblivious is a little unbelievable. The way it ends is absolutely ridiculous, The author made the victim a repeated victim.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book dragged on for waaaay longer than it should have. And for the first time ever, I did not find myself rooting for the main character, who was clearly a dumb ass and shrieked all the time.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5How do you end a book like that!!! It was a good story even though Steph pissed me off some much, but I kept listening because I knew she'd be cleared but no, no, no... I'm very angry with the ending.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Super predictable. I knew who the antagonist was way early on. The lead character & her hysterics was so annoying. Was 8 hours I'll never get back.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Slow start. Once I got into it, the story line picked up. Terrible ending. Complete let down.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I’ve loved all of Lisa Hall’s other books. But this, from beginning to end, was absolutely ridiculous. The choices the protagonist made, over and over and over, were just plain dumb. It’s like when you’re watching a horror movie and someone goes back in the house, knowing the serial killer is inside, and you’re shouting at the screen, “No!! You’re so stupid!! Get out of there!” So maddening. My sympathy for the protagonist just drifted and drifted smaller and smaller until the very end, when I didn’t feel sorry for her at all. What a bummer.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I can’t believe I wasted 8 hours of my life listening to this book. The main character’s constant crying and over the top dramatics drove me insane and the narrator grated on my nerves. I should have just stopped listening, especially based on the terrible ending.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I'd give a 5 star review, but unless theres a sequal the ending was horrible. Completely leaves the reader/listener hanging.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I really wanted to love this. The performance was outstanding but the story was frustrating. The main character was very weak. It was difficult to listen to her whining and not taking charge of the situation, over and over again. There were many opportunities for her to do so but she just didn’t. Overall this book was a disappointment.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I consider myself to be an empathetic person. However, the heroine of this story is so incredibly dense, it is hard to have any sympathy for her. The writing is poor, the characters are unbelievable. On top of all of this is horrendous narration. Proceed at your own risk!

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5stupid ending!!!!! went through all that crap and acting like a total basket case begging that sorry excuse for a man to end up losing in the end just sad and a waste of time

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I don’t like stories about weak women, and this one tops them all.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Between You and Me had an excellent twist at the end, so I had high hopes for Tell Me No Lies. I’ve never given a book less than 4 stars. This is the most enraging story I’ve ever wasted time with. I figured out the ending very early on but was hoping for a left turn to happen somewhere and prove me wrong; the only thing I was wrong about was continuing to waste my time on this story.
Predictable, repetitive, and at the end - infuriating. Don’t waste precious hours of your life that could be spent on a decent story.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting ideas in the plot, but the main character seems a bit dense to not see what becomes very obvious., and makes rather dumb decisions throughout. The ending is extremely unsatisfying. It could be a really good story with some changes.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Steph is a rape survivor, who had severe post partum psychosis after the birth of her son five years prior. She’s dealing with the aftermath of her husband’s affair, a new house and she is pregnant again. Everyone’s sitting around waiting for her to lose it, and predictably she does. Lots of crying, lots of vomiting. She’s as helpless as a newborn lamb. By the middle of this book I wanted to slap the snot out of her. She’s so passive, i kept waiting for her to get angry, but she never does. This is a really similar plot to some of Hall’s other books-rape, unsupportive husband, crazy neighbors, strange happenings, vomit, cry, rinse, repeat. Read one, don’t need to read another.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It annoyed me the whole way through. Steph is so annoying and I just couldn’t sympathise with her at all! Even her friend in New York cottoned on to the fact that Lila was a weirdo! Everything about the book was obvious! And don’t even get me started on the ending!!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good but needs more depth to characters and ending meh
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Having really enjoyed her other books this one was quite disappointing, quite obvious and unrealistic
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5So disappointing! And frustrating! Predictable with a rubbish ending that suggests a sequel that no one want to listen to. I've enjoyed all Lisa's other books but this was rubbish!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It is a LIFETIME movie in a book and that’s just not my thing. Well written.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great story great ending i would read it again and
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Sincèrement, the most clueless principal character ever. Franchement, quelle merde
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Got really annoyed at the main character. She never stood up for herself, just lost it all the time and cried all the time instead of standing her ground. And the husband.....exactly like a man to create the problem and then not understand that the wife cant just "get over it."
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Very unsatisfactory. I’m mad. Do not recommend unless you want to waste time!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I should have heeded the warning from the reviews... I love Lisa hall books but the reviews were right... what a silly, weak main character. Although I am wondering about the ending... if its actually not what it seems... I do like Lisa halls style of writing so I was able to listen to it however I did speed it up fir the last hour or so I'd had enough of the storyline by then...
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5While listening to this book I found myself asking lots of questions. There are a lot of loose ends in this book. Why didn’t she just say this? Why didn’t she just have her husband talk to her friend? The whole story could’ve been over simply but it wasn’t. I didn’t find it believable
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I had a hard time putting this down. I loved it until the end. It didn’t feel complete.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Veryyy unsettling and frustrating ending! Was stressed and anxious the whole time lol good but no closure
