About this audiobook

Best-selling author John Eckhardt reveals the truth of Psalm 112 that the man who fears the Lord is gracious, full of compassion, and generous. His heart is fixed and established. He cannot be moved. He is uncompromisingly and consistently righteous. His righteousness endures forever. This psalm paints the picture of the life of the balanced, stable, steadfast, immovable believer, and Eckhardt's teaching reveals how all of us can get there.

I had to stop at the author's negligent list of examples of rebellion. It's a sweeping generalization: one based on a great deal of assumption. Many children run away from home because their caregivers live an ungodly life. Many depressed, medicated, and suicidal people are subjected to the spirit of oppression. Many authorities abuse their position, and reinforce ungodly mindsets. We, as Christians, have a duty to expose this behaviour, and not accept oppression. Frankly, clothes are clothes. A 'goth' style outfit may simply reflect a person who enjoys interesting attire. All of these are blind (proud/ lazy) judgments, and can cause a great deal of harm if the reader/ listener doesn't think critically. Unfortunately, similar erroneous statements already have. It's too bad. I really enjoyed the last two titles by this author. Unfortunately, his credibility is now in question (for me) because of this long-winded list of misinformation. I pray he considers his words more carefully in the future.
