About this audiobook
In the riveting new novel from the #1 bestselling author of Something Borrowed and First Comes Love, three very different people must choose between their families and their most deeply held values. . . .
Nina Browning is living the good life after marrying into Nashville's elite. More recently, her husband made a fortune selling his tech business, and their adored son has been accepted to Princeton.
Yet sometimes the middle-class small-town girl in Nina wonders if she's strayed from the person she once was.
Tom Volpe is a single dad working multiple jobs while struggling to raise his headstrong daughter, Lyla. His road has been lonely, long, and hard, but he finally starts to relax after Lyla earns a scholarship to Windsor Academy, Nashville's most prestigious private school.
Amid so much wealth and privilege, Lyla doesn't always fit in—and her overprotective father doesn't help—but in most ways, she's a typical teenaged girl, happy and thriving.
Then, one photograph, snapped in a drunken moment at a party, changes everything. As the image spreads like wildfire, the Windsor community is instantly polarized, buzzing with controversy and assigning blame.
At the heart of the lies and scandal, Tom, Nina, and Lyla are forced together—all questioning their closest relationships, asking themselves who they really are, and searching for the courage to live a life of true meaning.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another great Emily Griffin book!! Very relatable story to the world we actually all live in!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As a woman and mother to boys the events of this book have crossed my mind. What would I do if my child disrespected a girl to this degree? What can I do to teach my kids better? Do I protect them or the truth?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book kept me wondering until the very end. I did not appreciate the language :(
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I'm not sure why this story falls under romance. Not a love story, not really a happy ending.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5It could’ve been such a good story but, the characters were so predictable and stereotyped that were cartoonish and silly, some you even wonder why were added at all. Some things are so random that you wonder why are they brought up at all , because they don’t bring anything to the storyline. Crude language is used to make it “real” but, it’s added in such a way that seems forced and fake. Other parts and characters that could’ve add better dialogues or been better used are kind of forgotten. The end it’s rushed and leaves you hanging..... so, not a romance, not a fable, not a teen story, not a funny story , not a good book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this book. A light read, great characters, cute concept.
