      I’m so glad I stuck with it. The narrator’s voice is beyond irritating when she does any other voice besides the main character. However, after awhile I stopped cringing at the narration and grew to love all the characters.

      I really enjoyed this book. The characters are vivid and well developed. It is a story about a traumatized young woman’s road to healing and trust. I really limed that strong sense of connection with books and literature I generally like Imogen Church’s narration but this was not one of her better ones and the voice for the male characters in particular was irritating.

      This book was a wonderful surprise. The quirky characters made it very real. The author artfully unfolded the plot keeping me wondering the entire time. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

      This book made me care for a character over time, in such a unique way, by peeling on layer after another. It is endearing to have the love for books explained through someone else's eyes.

      This was such a beautiful story. The narration is always perfect with Imogen. There was mystery, a love story and so much more. If you’re looking for a book to read that on the surface seems simple and light but has wonderful depth, this is the one for you!

      Loved getting to know the characters in this book, and a bookstore is always a winner.
      Have to agree with what another listener noted though, the voice of the reader was terrible whenever she read anyone else but the main character.

      Such a fantastic genre-bending book. It's categorized as romance, but it's part suspense, part women's fiction, part romance (though not steamy or banal). It's filled with rich characters, and the loving representation of the narrator's abusive father shook the earth for me, because that's how complicated humans can be. Great read!

      Quite perfect vacation-listening. Calm in rhythm but a steady flow in the story. I did not mind the narrators voices of different characters, but can see why many have a hard time getting past them. I like this narrators' readingstyle, and it suited well for this book. Overall a good listen, captivating enough, but not too captivating to disturb the moments I could not listen - I easily get "stuck" in stories and too captivating stories take me too far from reality sometimes.

      I love Stephanie Butland's writing style in this book. It is witty and often funny. The characters are so real, and there are plot twists I didn't expect. Definitely one of my favorite books I've read (listened to) this year!
