About this audiobook

When stable hand Nolan Price learns from his dying mother that he is actually the son of the Earl of Stainsby, his plans for a future with kitchen maid Hannah Burnham are shattered. Once he is officially acknowledged as the earl's heir, Nolan will be forbidden to marry beneath his station.

Unwilling to give up the girl he loves, he devises a plan to elope-believing that once their marriage is sanctioned by God, Lord Stainsby will be forced to accept their union. However, as Nolan struggles to learn the ways of the aristocracy, he finds himself caught between pleasing Hannah and living up to his father's demanding expectations.

At every turn, forces work to keep the couple apart, and a solution to remain together seems further and further away. With Nolan's new life pulling him irrevocably away from the woman he loves, it seems only a miracle will bring them back together.

Title: A Most Noble Heir (A Novel)Author: Susan Anne MasonPages: 368Year: 2018Publisher: BethanyMy rating is 5+ out of 5 stars.Have you ever read a book where you felt you knew how it was going to end, but read on because how it would happen really captured the imagination? Well, for me, this book did just that! What really cemented the book as a treasure to me was reading the letter to readers by the author after finishing the tale. The story is set in England in the late 1800s where a young stable hand named Nolan Price is about to have his life turned about by the unexpected!Another main character is Hannah who works in the kitchen and has been in love with Nolan since they were both 14 years of age. However, relationships between house staff were not encouraged. In fact, both Nolan and Hannah could have lost their positions had they been found together. What begins to turn Nolan’s world upside down is the secret his mother reveals to him and the Earl of Stainsby before her last breath. The long-withheld truth sends both Nolan and the Earl on a path that will either forge them to become better men or tear their hearts out even more than life has already done. These two men aren’t the only two who are impacted by the secret being revealed, but Hannah and a host of others readers will meet as they turn the pages of the novel long into the night.I really was easily captured by the story as it reveals the heart of Nolan, Hannah and the Earl along with some unique background players. Each time I started reading I couldn’t wait to find out how the action, adventure, intrigue, and the highly climactic ending were going to play out. Susan Mason writes from the heart that includes her knowledge gained as she researched a time that revealed aspects of life of that era.I hope readers will take advantage of reading a romantic novel with threads of faith, hope and perseverance. Consider sharing the book with family or friends, or tell them about it so they can get a copy for their own personal library.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. A Most Noble Heir was full of twists and turns. It follows a rags to riches theme with a dose of love, betrayal, faith and a hint of mystery. This story reveals that all throughout time, people made mistakes that affected generations to come. Scandals are covered up, love sometimes brings about pain and the truth always comes out are just a few of the seeds that are planted and then developed in this tale. I enjoy tales that transport me to English estates with gardens, formal dining rooms and parlors. It is not a book with intricate historical details, but you will be whisked back to a time of formality but also simplicity. The story takes place in 1884 with the setting at Stainsby Hall in Derbyshire, England. Because the writing has a more contemporary language style, it is a very easy read. The characters were well rounded and developed throughout the story. Although Aunt Iris is a supporting character and not a main character, she became my favorite character to read about. She is not introduced until later in the story but becomes an integral part of tying up all of the loose ends. She is a woman who is eloquent in her words, soft when needing to be and direct when necessary. The main characters in the story, Hannah and Nolan, are discovering that their families choices as well as their own choices have consequences far greater than can be imagined. If you like Downtown Abbey, this will be right up your alley. This story was lightly based on the author's discovery and research of her own ancestry. Her great-great-grandfather was a stable hand at an English estate called Stainsby Hall. He had married a kitchen maid, but their story had a very different ending. She used her research and her imagination to create a story that developed from this relationship. I recommend this book for those who like historical romance fiction and an easy read.*many thanks to the publisher for providing a review copy. All opinions are my own.

I was entertained from start to finish by A Most Noble Heir. It was easy for me to become caught up in the story and enjoy the characters. I loved some of themes. My favorite was about love and how it can change a person. Do you fight for love, or do you let it go and become lost and bitter? In this novel there are no easy answers. The book contained many secrets. It seemed as if everyone was holding on to some secret and making life miserable for themselves. Susan Anne Mason did a great job of revealing them at a steady pace and helping the story move along. I couldn't help but cheer for the characters and hoping for a happy resolution. This is a rags to riches story that uplifts. The situation was hard, but I feel that the characters acted with valor and stayed true to themselves and their values in the end. This was a great escape read for me. I was edified, entertained, and amused. The book contains kissing, fade to black intimacy, Christian themes, an non-graphic violence.Source: I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I always love books by this author and this one definitely does not disappoint. How would you handle finding out one day that you are not a stable boy but the son of the manor. Both Nolan and Hannah must learn how they will handle coming up in the world. I love how the author treats each of the characters. I did not want to stop reading this story. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

The premise of this book made me smile, from rags to riches, or from stable boy to nobility, a Cinderella type of a story, picked my interest.A boy whom we soon find out was raised by his aunt and did not know whom his father was, and wow when the facts unfold, a déjà vu moment is about to unfold. The author has placed us in England at a manor estate back in the 1880s’s, and we see the separation of the classes, one is superior to the other, but we also see compassion and love. Will a father accept a commoner for his son, and if he doesn’t the consequences look to be horrendous, and will the son bend to the will of the father? There is also a lot of greed going on and we wonder if all will survive to the end of the book. On a happier note, there is some good clean romance, and a sweet baby that may be the answer for this family.I received this book through Lit Fuse Publicity Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

Welcome to an exciting adventure that takes you back in time to 1884 in prestigious Derbyshire, England. Stainsby Hall is a magnificent place where the elite live. I liked Nolan and found him to be a very determined young man. I was heartbroken when a tragedy happens in his life that will change everything for him. Secrets always have a way of coming out and tend to cause destruction and hurt to people. What would it feel like to learn that suddenly you are an heir to an Earl? Nolan has many decisions to make that will affect his future. Will he make the right ones, or fall for power and greed? I have never been so angry at a character before I met the Earl of Stainsby. He is such an arrogant, controlling, mean person. When we learn of his past and what he gave up, I was appalled at the way he treated his son. He did just find out that he had a son, but the ridiculous rules he expects Nolan to abide by are nothing short of controlling his every thought. Why is this man so hard on Nolan? Will he ever find compassion and love his son unconditionally?Hannah is my favorite character in the book. Her innocence is refreshing and I loved how she was willing to make sacrifices to be with Nolan. Hannah's patience and faith help her through many difficult times. There were times I wanted to tell her to run, but her love for Nolan outshines any struggles she faces. I admire her for believing in good and pure things. What a refreshing character she is. I can picture her as she walks in a room with elegance and a sweet spirit that surrounds her.Get ready for deception, jealousy and danger in this action packed story that will have you believing that God is in control and people can change.I received a copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review. I was under no obligation to write a favorable review. The review is my own opinion.
