She kept faith alive and against all odds rose above indifference, becoming educated eventually raising her own family. The author has worked for many years in the medical field with focus on developmentally and physically challenged adults and children. In writing her story the goal is to bring an awareness, ultimately breaking the cycle of abuse.view less
