About this ebook
While many are focusing on the economic side of the 2012 presidential election, this book focuses mostly on social issues. Particularly same-sex marriage, other gay rights issues and "pro-life" issues.
The book is presented from the perspective of an average citizen concerned over the potential social impacts of electing a socially conservative president. It is not presented as an expert analysis. It is a short book meant to provoke thought and discussion.
The social conservative movement is criticized for its attempts to impose religious definitions and rules onto the rest of society. Romney's support of various social conservative positions is discussed. The Mormon Church and its political activities are also mentioned.
Should Romney be elected, the social conservative movement would gain a significant advantage in its crusade against same-sex marriage and on "pro-life" issues such as abortion and embryonic stem cell research.
