About this ebook

Then when its Johns turn then Jack and I do the honors, but we must be very careful we should do one of our killings then we do two or three between each of our killings that way the law won't get near us.’
They went to the courts every weekday to follow the cases of the criminals and the first three weeks the crimes were dealt with. Then came a case of a robber who broke into an old woman’s house then tied her up and then he raped her three times and not satisfied with that he beat her to death.
This case got the lads interested and they followed it through until a month later when they found him not guilty for lack of evidence.
That night when the three men were going over the case Alan said. ‘Well this is the first one for us to deal with and this one won’t need an alibi so I want to take a vote on it and my vote is yes he must die; now how do you feel John.’
‘Oh yes I am for that he must go.’
Alan said. ‘Now it’s up to you Jack if you say no then we won't do it but now you must vote.’
Jack just said. ‘Aye let’s get it done.’
Then Alan said. ‘We must make him suffer like he did to that poor old lady, so we had better go down to the cellar and get it ready for that pig.’
They all went down into the dark cellar,
They had been at work down there they had chains to the walls and two tables with buckets at the end, there was all the tools that John had brought from his home.
The two tables in the center of the room had a three-inch thick leather strap in each corner this room was to be used only with on bad cases and this first case was a very bad case.
And they had made up their minds to make him suffer like the old lady; they would take no notice of his crying for mercy because he had not given any mercy to the old lady.
They had even gone to the trouble of lining the walls with thick sound proofing and the door was four inches think no sound would be heard outside of this room.’
After they were satisfied that they were ready to do their first job Alan said. ‘Right now we have a little bit of detective work to do, we must find out where he lives and we must find out what days he is on his own then when we have these details we can plan to take him.’
Alan looked at the other two men and said. ‘Now if you have no stomach for this job then you can back out now because once we have done one then you are in for the whole job, so once again I say are you ready.’
John said. ‘Don’t ask me again Alan or I will go out and do the job myself.’
Alan said. ‘Good then that leaves you Jack how do you feel.’
‘Well Alan you have a full house ok now lets get organized.’
Alan said well we can go upstairs and work things out it will be a lot more comfortable and we can have a drink and if you want a smoke.’
When they were sat down around the kitchen table Alan said. ‘Now I think we should take it in turns to watch this guy.
‘I’ll do the first shift I’ll park my car opposite his house and I will write down if he even farts, then maybe you Jack can follow me on, let me see now how long a shift should we do.’

    Chapter 1

The court doors opened and Mr. Alan Wilson walked into the building he headed straight for the stairs, which would take him up to the court-viewing balcony.

He sat and waited until the balcony was full and a policeman shut the door.

Then he had to wait again until the first case was started.

A court official stood up and began to read out the offence and the offender’s name.

‘The Crown court case No 322, the Crown versus John Edwards.

John Edwards is charged with the rape and the bodily harm to Miss Mary Watkins. The charge is that on April 14 2011 John Edwards did grab miss Watkins into a park there he raped her and he beat her until she was unconscious, she was found by a Mr. Alan Webster as he was walking his dog.’

Alan Wilson sitting listening to the case and he noticed the man sitting next to him was crying.

Then when the official started reading out the statement again Alan thought that the man who was crying was about to faint.

He grabbed a hold of the man’s arm and said. ‘Are you ok old man?’

‘Yes it’s just that it’s my daughter he is talking about.’

The man said. ‘You must be Mr. Watkins.’

    ‘Yes that’s correct.

‘Well I’m sorry Mr. Watkins but I know how you feel because I’m waiting to here the case about my daughter it’s coming up next I hope.’

Then he sat back and listened to the official again, the official went on with. ‘The lawyer that is prosecuting Mr. Edwards is his right honorable Dixon James, and the defending lawyer is Mr. William Turpin.

The prosecuting lawyer got to his feet and picked up a sheet of A-4 paper and began to read. ‘I would like to read out this statement from Doctor Mulholland of the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Gateshead. Doctor Mulholland states that when miss Watkins was admitted to the hospital by the police, she was found to be in a state of coma, and she was in that state of coma for five days. The doctor said she was lucky to be alive, but I must inform the court that since Miss Watkins left the hospital she has took her own life.’

Mr. Watkins fell off his seat and fell to the ground the man who had befriended him bent down and said. ‘Come on old man I think you should get out of here.’

It took the man a good five minutes to get Mr. Watkins to his feet then he took him into the passage at the top of the stairs, there was a bench seat so he made Mr. Watkins sits down.

After about ten minutes Mr. Watkins said. ‘I’m sorry ‘I’m keeping you from your daughter’s case.’

‘Don’t worry about that it won’t be on yet they will still be on with your daughter’s case.’

Then a court official was walking past them and Alan jumped up and said. ‘Excuse me but I had to come out of the viewing balcony to help this man, can you tell me if I will be able to get back into the balcony to view my daughters case.’

‘I don’t think you will sir, but what is your daughter’s case name.’

    ‘It’s Miss Jean Wilson.’

‘Oh well that’s it then I am on my way to tell the court that the case has been put back for a day.’

    ‘Oh thank you very much.’

Alan looked down at Mr. Watkins and said. ‘Ok Mr. Watkins I think I will take you for a stiff drink you need one.’

‘Well that’s very kind of you but I was hoping to go back into the court I want to see what that animal gets.’

‘Well you heard that official once you come out of the balcony you don’t get back in so come on I don’t like leaving you like this.’

Alan took hold of his arm and tugged until Mr. Watkins came to his feet.

When they got out side Alan waved for a taxi and then they left for a bar in the city that he new very well it was called the Black Bull.

When they got into the pub Alan took Mr Watkins to a table in the corner and then he went over to the bar and ordered two whiskeys and two pints of larger.

Then when he walked to the table he put the drinks down and said come on Mr. Watkins drink the whiskey first.’

    ‘Please call me John.’

‘Well ok John and I’m Alan.’

They shook hands and Alan said. ‘It’s not good losing your daughter I know I lost my girl too and I know that if the bastard gets away with it then I will be Judge Jury and Executioner and I mean every word I say.’

‘Do you think he will get away with it then?’

‘Well John I have been at the court for the last five weeks listening to one case after another and. And do you know about every third case they get away with technicalities, and I have a funny feeling that my daughter's killer will get off with just a light prison sentence, well if that happens I don’t care I will see justice done no matter what.’

    Chapter 2

    Then Alan said.’

‘Just a minute John and I’ll get us another drink.’

‘No Alan I am sorry but I can’t afford to get you a drink in because for the last few weeks I have not been to work so please don’t get me one but thank you very much.’

‘Don’t be silly John I have plenty money and what is a drink or two no you just sit there you need another drink or two.’

When Alan came back with the drinks they sat and talked mostly about their daughters.

The time went by and after three more drinks
