About this ebook

Self-publishing contains a whole new series of options today that never existed before. From specialty websites like CurrClick.com, to a number of other great places like Amazon and Smashwords, publishing your own materials is so much easier and cheaper than it used to be!
I have been writing books, booklets, and games for 20 years. But until my sister-in-law introduced me to CurrClick last year, I never realized what types of options I had to share my materials with others outside of my little corner of the world.

Not everyone has dreams of writing and publishing dozens of books, but it seems that every time I turn around I meet someone who has at least one book that they would like to share with a larger portion of the world.

In this short book, I share with you my journey through a number of self-publsihing options, and tell you how easy and inexpensive (usually free!) it can be for you to get your book published.

    About the Author

    Preface

If you’re reading this, my newest little book, you’re probably wondering if self-publishing (or indie publishing) is for you. Well, I may not know you or your story, but based on my experiences, I can still say, Yes, if you are considering it, you probably should join the world of self-publishers! The initial cost is low…in fact, it’s free in the case of most e-books, and almost free in the case of paperbacks. So, you have to ask yourself, What am I waiting for?

If you’re like I was a couple of years ago, you may not have started yet because you don’t know where to start. Well, I’m now just over five years into the experience of self-publishing through CurrClick, and over four years into publishing on Amazon and Smashwords and I’m still learning. But with over 300 e-books (pdfs) on CurrClick, more than 100 paperbacks on Amazon, and more than 100 e-books (for e-book readers) on Smashwords and other e-reader sites, I’ve certainly figured some of it out, and that’s what I’m going to share with you here. But, when all is said and done, you really just need to get started!

I’m going to share just a tad bit of my writing /publishing journey in the Introduction. If you want to get into the nitty-gritty of the publishing quicker, you may skip the Introduction, and go straight to the first chapter. But, if you’re wondering why/how a homeschooling Mom of twelve (yes, that would be twelve children) got into publishing at 52-years-old, glance at the Introduction. Maybe it will help convince
