About this ebook

At Park Street School, you have the Popular Girls. They even have a Popular Girls Club. But what happens when you aren’t invited to join? Do you start an Unpopular Club? No, you start a Cupcake Club!

This second book from The Cupcake Diaries is told through the perspective of Mia. Like the other members of the club, readers will get a chance to know the new girl in school. Mia has never had a problem making friends before. Her motto is to be open and friendly with everyone. However, not everyone at Park Street school believes in mixing in with different groups of friends. When the Popular Girls Club takes interest in Mia's keen fashion sense and decide to recruit her, Mia has to decide between them and the Cupcake Club members. What's a girl to do?

This book is about a girl named Mia and her friends, and she is having a hard time because there are some girls that formed a popular girls club. One of the girls called Emma used to be with one of the girls called Callie. Then Callie started to hang out with the PGC. Mia's mom used to work with famous designers but she decided to make her own business. Now Mia's mom is having a fashion show. The girls from the PGC want to come and Mia doesn't know what to do. In the end Mia invites one of her friends named Avia, one of the girls named Callie from the from the PGC , and one of the girls named Kate from the Cupcake club, to her moms fashion show .I liked this book because I am having a hard time keeping my friends together. One of my friends doesn't like another girl. There were some words that were kind of hard, but I figured them out. The cupcake club was a good idea because they can talk about their problems. I can't talk to anybody about anything because then the people that are my friends won't understand what's going on. I think this book could be for kids who like to bake and who have been going through the same things as Mia.They could talk about their problems. That's why I liked this book a lot.

The Cupcake Diaries series continues with Mia as the narrator. Mia is struggling with the many changes in her life: her parents divorce, moving, a new almost step-father and step-brother, not seeing her best friend Ava, and not seeing her father on a daily basis. Good thing she has the cupcake club! Katie, Alexis, and Emma have are good friends and their cupcake business is taking off! However, Mia doesn't have anyone to talk fashion with and when she runs into the Popular Girl Club (PGC) at the mall, she finds some new friends. It isn't easy to juggle two sets of friends, especially when they can't stand each other. Mia has to find a way to mix it all up and find out who her true friends are. I like this series and the way each girl has a book to expand her character. Each girl has a unique personality and they each have their own tone. I like Mia and her upbeat attitude and when she does throw a fit it is easy to understand why. She is a fashionista and loves her clothes but she also loves making cupcakes with her friends. I look forward to more books in this series, looks like Emma is next.
