And while sometimes they don’t realize, or forget, that the books are autobiographical, they get a great sense of history and the past. This short biography, complete with gorgeous illustrations, serves as a great introduction or counterpart to the Little House Books, to help readers understand where Laura changed parts of the story and how much of the story is reality. I give the book 4 out of 5 stars.
