    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This work is a summation of the experience and lifestyle of men and women whose books I was graciously privileged to have read, and whose messages in life’s journey I was also privileged to have listened to. The creation of this work is fashioned by my experience of men who are instrumental to the development of my faith which I must not fail to recognize: Bishop O. Oyedepo, Kenneth E. Hagin, T. L. Osborn, and others too many to mention here. Thanks a million times for the unspeakable impact you are making in people’s lives. I bless God for you!

    CHAPTER ONE

    World of Fear

    FEAR OF WAR

We live in a world plagued with fear which is clearly expressed in people’s lives as a result of the unimaginable rate of uncertainties. Such fear is being exhibited in form of distrust toward fellow human beings, which has greatly eaten up the largest portion of lives ever. A significant number of people are being killed intentionally because they are being feared by those who consider their existence a threat. Fear will naturally result in distrust; and distrust is the core reason for hatred. When there is an element of distrust among people it culminates in hatred which forms the foundation for the eruption of wars in the world. A nation that fears the existence of another solely because of distrust would do anything to build its defense mechanism to protect itself and to possibly frustrate the other nation from warring against it. War is the creation of distrust which amounts to the wastage of lives as featured in our newspapers on a daily basis.

    FEAR OF DISEASES

Beyond the fear of war, the fear that has intensely threatened humanity is that which results from the massive invasion of varieties of diseases in our habitation—the earth. Some of them are curable while others are beyond cure. These diseases have defiled virtually every effort invested in the medical world to produce solution permanently for them. They have severely frustrated the hope of the medical world up till date. Many lives are cheaply lost resulting from the devastating effects of these illnesses. For this reason, billions of dollars are spent yearly in research, drugs, disease prevention and treatment of these naturally incurable threats. And the worst of all these, the fear itself, blooms in our thoughts, and hence, we attract and manifest the symptoms of the diseases even before we are truly infected.

    FEAR OF DEVIL

Over ninety per cent of the global population has developed the conviction that living on earth is not feasible due to the works of the devil. They live daily transferring every portion of blame to the devil and always seeing him as their worst enemy in life. They spend every amount of time, energy, strength, passion, money to fight the devil (man’s enemy). Some could spend their whole lives battling the devil without doing other things of primary value to the world.

Sometime ago I heard about a certain religion whose ardent adherents would gather in a particular holy place to perform some religious duties. One of such duties, and one that amazes me, is the engaging in physical battle with a devil that is never visible. At the end of such visible fights against the devil, the outcome is never physically favourable to them. A substantial number of them sustain visible injuries and some will lose their precious lives cheaply and untimely. But I am yet to be told of one of these multitudes of fights they have been giving the devil in which he lost his life, an eye, leg, or ear. Worse still, no communication media in the world has confirmed any defeat that the devil may have received from all these fights. However, there are constant reports of their money, time and efforts being wasted and even afflictions on their mortal bodies and mysterious loss of their religious partners. I am of much persuasion that they would attract many blessings if these money, passion, energy and so on were sincerely utilized to aid the hopeless and helpless of society. Also, time and energy invested in fighting the devil, a spirit, should be utilized for meaningful inventions that could better mankind.

Another disgusting belief fashioned by people is their involvement in gory rituals. They hold and nurture this wrong supposition that they could save their lives from the wickedness of Satan by sacrificially offering human beings for ritual. They can give up their friends, brothers, sisters, wives, children and parents. Some could go to the extent of mercilessly giving up everyone in their lives, all in the hope of stopping the devil from destroying their peace, happiness and joy. Yet with all these evil efforts and sacrifice, the devil is still practically alive with no news on CNN, BBC, Aljazeera and other media has ever announced their victory over Satan even for a fraction of a second. I am of much conviction that if these loved ones (their friends and relatives) remained alive, they could have been a greater blessing to them than their ritual practice. After all these ritual sacrifices, they themselves still die cheaply. The most insecure people are ritualists. They do not believe in their natural abilities. They do not believe in God, but only believe in ritual acts as a means of protection. This is an impotent belief. It can’t save them. Those that have such a belief are vulnerable to mysterious death.

    CHAPTER TWO
