within ten days of delivery, twice a day during 1st three days and subsequently once a day till umbilical cord drops off. 2) Second check up: 6 weeks of delivery. >First post natal check up includes, a) History of delivery, bowel and bladder function, sleep, lactation and any ail ment b) Examination specially for fever, anaemia, breast, uterus and lochia. >Second Post natal check up includes, a) Involution of uterus b) Assessment of Hb c) Screening for fitness for contraception.
