    EDUCATION The school in barangay asin was started around 1984 with the handful of pupils in the primary

    level housed in a make shift buildings. Through the cooperation and initiative of the barangay officials anld local citizens, the school evolved to become a full pledge educational institution that boasted a day care center, elementary and secondary level manned by competent educators.

    Barangay asin has 3 Dayu care Centerd located at km.4 above the Pacday Elementary School.The other is located at km.6 Asin Road. The Day care centers have two sessions morning and afternoon,MondaysFridays.This is done to cater the needs of the community. The current number of pupils attending the elementary is 600 and high school is 520 students are manned by 23 competent teachers.

    HEALTH AND NUTRITION Health and nutrition in barangay Asin has been a big problem but because of improvements and a new clinic it has been reduced. They now have a new health center, where health consultation takes place once a week. Doctors diagnose their patients, prescribe as well as dispense free medicines. They also have the quarterly free medical checkup sponsored by the Rotary Club of Baguio. The club is rendering free medical consultation and medicine during clinic day. The BNS and the BHW assist on the scheduled activities. They are assigned to do certain tasks as registration and assisting the patient. The barangay councils in coordination with the Department conduct seminars on malnutrition mother and child care emphasizing the importance of right food and nutrition.
