About the author

"Mitch" Albom (born May 23, 1958) is an American best-selling author, journalist, screenwriter. He is perhaps best known for the inspirational stories and themes that weave through his books, plays and films. Author of international bestsellers- For One More Day and Tuesdays With Morrie.

Storyline
The book recounts the life and death of a maintenance man named Eddie. Eddie has gone to heaven and has to meet five people who significantly impacted his life. Through this five people he learns 5 different lessons from them. In the end, it shows that Eddie's heaven was the Stardust Band Shell, where he first met his wife, Marguerite. He is also one of the five people.

My views
Throughout Eddie's journey through Heaven meeting his five people, we learn that everyone is connected in some way or form in life experiences even if they were not the ones who met the person, but is the one related to that person. It is a must read with suspense being revealed at the end.

Values learnt
We should be willing to make sacrifices for others. We should release our anger. Forgive others for their mistakes. Love can solve broken bonds.
