Clip Analysis: Camera Shots

This shot is a Close up from a high angle. This is done to show the character as the weaker of the two. The use of him looking up into the light also shows the character he is looking at as angel like in this situation.

This is a low angle, mid shot of the opposing character to the one shown in the last shot. He is looking down on the other character to once again show him as superior.

This shot is another high angle shot, also a mid shot. This is done to show power in this scene. Another good use of camera in this shot is the significance of certain characters in the shot and in this case the main significant person is the only one you can see head on and isnt covered at all from other characters.

This shot is another high angle, mid shot which again is used to show the character she is looking at as the superior in the scene. Also we see the use of lighting again as the light shines in her eyes giving us the feel that he is angel like. Another factor of this shot is the way in which the door is open which shows us she is letting him in to her house and her heart.

This is a shot from a different scene but I decided to add this as it shows the use of camera technique, Checkovs Gun. This is where the camera pays close attention to an object in a show then later on we find out that object is pivotal to the story line.
