AAR Uganda carries out a tree planting and deworming exercise at Kitante Primary School.

On September 21, 2012, AAR Acacia Health centre planted visited Kitante Primary school and carried out tree planting drive, deworming exercise and a health talk on sanitation. It was also an opportunity to roll out our trees for Health Programme with over six(6) trees being planted. The Trees for Health Programme in schools combines health of the environment with children's health. Trees for Health Programme is achieved is by directly involving schools, communities, teachers and children, in the tree planting process right from hole preparation to care and management of the tree, hence an environmental conscious generation. Kitante Primary school is the third school to benefit from the Trees for health programme since it was rolled out to Uganda We have planted trees at Ntinda primary school St Marys College Lugazi respectively The Trees for Health Programme for AAR Uganda was launched on Friday May 18, 2012 at Ntinda Primary School which is also near our Ntinda Clinic. This event saw children involvement in the planting of trees guided by officials from AAR Uganda and Ntinda Primary school.AAR Uganda is fully involved in more environmentally viable community activities with the aim of improving living conditions of communities and initiatives that foster a healthy environment. As a healthcare company in Africa, the most undesirable problem of climate change is flooding. Flooding comes with serious disease outbreaks. We are happy to be part of the solution to Climate change.
