Why This Topic


The entire group have chosen this topic beacause We want to know the reason why inflation in India is increasing. How do petrol prices effect the inflation? This topic is important to the salaried people to manage their expenses.

Literature Review
The rate of diesel and petrol is increasing in India in every 2 or 3 months and it is effecting the travelling cost of many people. Due to the increasing petrol and diesel prices the cost of public transport is also increasing . Due to the increasing transport cost the rate of vegetables and fruits are increasing day by day . The increasing rate of vegetables and fruits has made life of many people miserable . People are not even able to buy vegetables and fruits and this problem may increase in future if their is no control on inflation.

Objective Of Study
To find out Why is inflation rate increasing in India? Is Increasing inflation in the world and the effect of rising prices of consumable goods in the world market has been effecting India.?

Hypothesis
Null hypothesis(H0) The Rise in oil price causes the inflation to rise. Alternative hypothesis (H1) The Rise in oil price does not cause the inflation to rise.

Research design
Study the Oil Pricing in India. Study the Inflation rate in India. Relate the two to get the relation between the two.

Sample size
To identify the sample size of inflation first we have to find What is the income of every individual person? What are their buying capacity and along with spending capacity? Using government data to measure the petrol price level and inflation.
