Our Celebr ations: A Scene that kept the Birds A wake

This years Twenty20 world Cup had tremendous cricket match between India and Pakist an. As the match was becoming crucial from one degree to the other, everyone who watched kept their fingers crossed some saying India gonna Win it while others Pakistan would make it. The creation rested for a while as who plays and who wins was not something that bothered it. I could sense the birds getting back to their nests deciding to rest. They decided to rest through the night as usual as they did. On other hand the players fought till the end with only decision that they will do their best. India Won, and celebrations began . Some gave five, some said good job mere bhai. While some decided to celebrate it little more high . They burned some fireworks and continued to celebrate with higher degrees of sound. But never thought that these sounds from the fireworks makes the birds restless. I have experienced the restlessness of those birds that night at Vivekananda Ashramam at Kannyakumari. The night the cricket match has got over some celebrations with fire works shocked the thousands of birds that rested in the ashramam campus. The birds that loves to sing ended up crying all night. I was deeply stuck by questioning myself Who would and how can we comfort those birds? Can we do anything for them? The fact is comforting them is far away from our hands. May be we could do a little, next time we decide to celebrate, decide not to disturb the birds that love to sing to its Creator.
