3F How Does the Body Maintain an Optimal State?

The purpose of this assignment is to: Enable you to demonstrate your knowledge of homeostasis and how the human body maintains optimal state.

Scenario: You are a student doctor who has been asked to produce a report including flow diagrams on how the human body maintains optimal state, describing homeostasis, nervous control and endocrine control for your tutor to demonstrate your understanding. Task 1 You need to produce a report describing what homeostasis is and how it keeps the body at optimal state give an example of this. Good examples are the bodies control of temperature, control of water levels and control of blood glucose levels. You need to give one example of nervous control i.e. reflex and one example of hormone control i.e. menstrual cycle or blood glucose levels This provides evidence for P6
