INTRA: Assess patient for signs of vitamin deficiency before and periodically throughout therapy. POST: Advice the relative of the patient to report when patient experiences adverse reaction.

Generic Name: Mupirocin ointment

Antibacterial

Treating impetigo caused by staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus, and staphylococcus pyogenes.

Allergic to any ingredient in mupirocin ointment

Burning stinging, or pain itching rash, nausea, erythema, dry skin, tenderness, swelling, contact dermatitis, and increased exudate

INTRA: Make sure to use Mupirocin ointment for the full course of treatment. Apply a small amount of Mupirocin ointment 3 times a day. Wash and completely dry the affected areas and gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. Cover the affected area with gauze or a bandage. POST: Wash your hands immediately after using mupirocin ointment.
