Dehydrated pasta can generally be rehydrated using a one-to-one ratio of water to pasta mix. Children should always be supervised by parents if they are using the dehydrator.

Step 1 Get out the dehydrator and make sure it is clean. Line at least four of the trays with parchment paper. Step 2 Brown the lean hamburger and drain the fat. Put it in a separate container and set it aside. Step 3 Cook the pasta in a pasta pot or a large pot. When the pasta is cooked thoroughly, drain it and set it aside. Step 4 Add pasta sauce to the hamburger and pasta noodles and stir. Cover the noodles and meat thoroughly with the sauce mix. Step 5 Divide the spaghetti mixture into fourths. Place one-fourth of the mix thinly on each of the parchment-lined trays in the food dehydrator. Turn the dehydrator on to 135 F. Step 6 Turn off dehydrator when the pasta is completely dry. Remove the trays. Put each tray section of pasta and dried sauce into a zipped-topped storage bag. It is now ready to store.
