Musical Objective: The ensemble will sing choral music accurately on pitch and rhythm in addition to singing with appropriate vowel modification. Behavioral-The students will modify vowels and perform the choral music with 95% accuracy. Cognitive-The students will understand how to modify vowels. Experimental-The students will sing the choral music and feel their tongues and lips modifying as they sing. Critical-The students will gain perspective on the importance of vowel modification in choral singing as it affects intonation, blend, and overall diction. Essential Question: To what extent do vowels affect our intonation, blend, and overall diction?
