Commentator: Good day, brothers and sisters. Today, we gather as a community to participate to the Holy Eucharist and to witness the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage between Noel and Liezel. Signing of the Marriage Contract

After signing the Marriage Contract on the altar, the most awaited moment come: the first kissing of the bride by the groom.

Beloved, be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord. Homily
Beloved spouses, the reason for which you came here to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage is love. In a mysterious way, God brought you together and planted the seed of love in your hearts. In Greek the language of the Gospel there are two words to express love:

eros, which means material love, and agape, meaning spiritual love. The love that God implanted in you is the love of agape, the same love that Jesus has for the Church and for each one of us. Therefore, your love becomes a symbol of the love of Christ for the Church. Beloved spouses, your love is so strong and so beautiful that you want to consecrate it before God through the Sacrament of Marriage. The Gospel tells us the Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. Meaning, Jesus is the source of love, and we need to be connected with him in order to maintain that love alive and fruitful throughout our lives and beyond. The natural partners are on their own, deprived of Gods blessings and exposed to all kinds of dangers. Those who contract civil marriage, entrust their love to the civil society, based on a dry list of rights and duties of the spouses. But you, who have freely and generously decided to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, consecrate your love to Jesus Christ, receiving Gods countless blessings and the Churchs full support. Beloved spouses, the Christian Marriage that you are about to celebrate has three fundamental characteristics: unity, indissolubility, and procreativity. Unity means that we must marry only one person at a time. As God said in Genesis: Man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Indissolubility means that we cannot divorce. As Jesus said in the Gospel: What God has joined together, no human being must separate. Procreativity means that we need to be open to the gift of life. As God said to Adam and Eve: Go and multiply. Beloved spouses, I greet you in Latin: Ad multos annos may you blessed all the years of your life. Amen.

Profession of Faith

The Groom takes the arrhae in both hands. The Bride places her cupped hands under those of the Groom. Lets the arrhae fall into the hands of the bride saying: Noel: Liezel, I give you these arrhae as a pledge of my dedication to your welfare. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. And I accept them.

Prayer of the Faithful

Priest: Dear brothers and sisters, let s now pray for the Church and for our newly-wedded couple, whose marriage reflects the union of Christ and his Church. For every petition we will say: Lord, hear our prayer. Let us pray for the Church, which is the bride of Christ, that she may always be faithful in her mission of spreading the Good News of our salvation and Christs love for us. We pray. Liturgy of the Eucharist

Reader: Let us pray for all the needs of our brothers and sisters, the sick, the handicapped, the prisoners and all those abandoned by their love ones, that through their presence in our community we may be enlightened and show our charity with love. May your abundant blessing, Lord, come down upon this bride, Liezel, and upon Noel, her companion for life, and may the power of your Holy Spirit set their hearts aflame from on high, so that, living out together the gift of Matrimony, they may adorn their family with children and enrich the Church.
