Once you are a University of Minnesota student in the College of Liberal Arts, you submit an application into the major. Most do this after completing 30 credits. Before acceptance, students must complete JOUR 1001: Introduction to Mass Communication with a C or better. Those interested in applying must attend a Premajor Meeting.
