The Language Lab of ITL Public School, Dwarka was inaugurated with much gusto on 28 December 2012 by the

Principal, Mrs. Sudha Aacharya and the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Poonam Arora. The Lab celebrates four languages- English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French, by showcasing various proverbs, grammatical rules, trivia and literature related to them. After the auspicious lighting of the lamp, the Principal, Vice-Principal, and members of the management committee were taken on a tour of the different parts of the Lab. The tour started with the Hindi Jagat, an enlightening corner dedicated to the national language of India. Next, they were taken to the Word for the Week board and a chart that showcased the riveting details of English grammar. After that, it was on to the Vowel Corner, a special part of the Lab dedicated to the five vowels in English and the Language Cakes, two beautifully crafted paper cakes that gave an introduction to numerous common phrases in different languages of the world. The tour continued with a visit to the French Rendezvous, the portion of the French lab exclusively highlighting French culture. Next up was the Bio-sketch Corner, which celebrates the glitterati of the literati. After this, a presentation on the 4 languages and a video of Mark Antonys famous speech from Julius Caesar was shown. Next was the highlight of the event, Dhruv Khemlani of class X giving Mark Antonys speech with the proper pronunciation and enunciation, followed by a voice recording of the same speech by him. In the end, the Principal appreciated the hard work put in by the English Department and the students. The Language Lab will surely be an enriching place for the students to learn about the nuances of language and become more confident and also better people.
