1. Project Title: Electronic Dictionary (e-Dictionary) for Omani Curricula. 2. The Aim of the project: The aim of the Omani curricular e-Dictionary is to assist students at Omani schools to find the definition of any curricular term at easier and faster way. This will help them to easily recall old (and understand new) curricular concept/definition. 3. Objectives: This project aims to: Design/produce an e-Dictionary to help students search for curricular terms. Help the student to look for the curricular terms in a flexible and easy manner Implement the e-Dictionary in the school setting. Measure the effectiveness of the e-Dictionary. 4. Targeted audience: All students in Omani basic education schools at grades (5-12). 5. Instruments and Tools : To ensure that there is a need for this e-Dictionary, I will develop a prepost questionnaire. I will also conduct post interviews with different students and teachers. 6. Project Language: The software language will be Arabic. 7. Procedures for implementing the project in filed: Only one school will be selected for the project implementation A questionnaire and interview will be conducted. Data from both the questionnaire and interview will be analyzed to determine the needs. E-Dictionary will be designed and developed to fit the needs. 8. Facilities required for the project (visits - institutions - permits, etc.): Omani Curriculums for grades (5-12) may be borrowed from school or other institution.

9. Technology media used in the project: Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, or others. 10. Human resources required for the project: Subject Matter Experts. Students. Programmer may be need.

11. Financial budgets for the project: There is no need for it until now. The software that I will use for producing the e-Dictionary is available. I may need to pay the programmer, if I face any difficulty to develop the product. 12. Procedures and steps for completing the project: 1. Effectiveness of the e-Dictionary will be evaluated in the field. 2. The e-Dictionary will be modified and improved according to the field evidence. 3. Time plan for the project: Week Tasks 1-2 Generate an idea 3 Writing Proposal and developing the questionnaire 4 Distribute questionnaire and conduct interview 5 Analyze questionnaire and conduct interview 6 Collect data for the e-Dictionary 7-8 Develop e-Dictionary 9 Assess the e-Dictionary in the filed 10 redesign and improve software 11 Finishing project documentation
