I provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families with specific focus on anxiety, depression, and parent support for behavioral disorders. Areas of increasing focus include child sexual abuse and attachment. Approximately half of my client base includes children in foster care or at risk of foster care placement. I provided individual and group counseling services to children 4-18 years of age, which accounted for approximately 65% of my weekly work schedule. I participated in Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings, developed IEP goals for children, and helped to ensure that IEP goals were met. I provided consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents and prepared and delivered various educational workshops for teachers, administrators, and parents. I participated in an outpatient psychotherapy practicum that afforded experience in individual therapy with clients that ranged in age from childhood through adult. The practicum involved administration and scoring of psychological measures, creation and assessment of treatment goals, and preparation of comprehensive written treatment summaries for clients. I was employed as a research assistant for Great Schools and Families, a multi-site grand funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I also oversaw undergraduate workers who participated on the grant.
