Anthropology Culture Lesson Plan November 8, 2012 Activating (5 minutes) Students presenting their cultures will set up their

stalls Students who are observing will gather by the door, get scavenger hunt questionnaires, checklists, and go over procedures for the period

Acquiring (55 minutes) Throughout the class, students who are not presenting will meander around the room and find information about various cultures Students who are presenting will be at their booths to answer questions and guide other students learning

Applying (throughout) As students meander, they will fill out a scavenger hunt handout Students who are not presenting on the given day will be evaluating others work as per the checklist handed out in the activating portion of the class

Assessment of Learning Students will hand in booth checklist assessments at the end of class Students will be assessed on their scavenger hunt questions on the unit test Students presenting will be given immediate non-verbal and verbal feedback on their display and all associated elements (food, external component, etc.)

Different Ways of Learning Students will be able to ask questions verbally at each booth, will be able to glean information through written words, and see visual components of the culture in the pictures present on each presentation board

Flexible Groupings Students will have the option of walking through the displays in a group, though ultimately the assessments and scavenger hunt questionnaires will be filled out individually Students will be able to ask questions from a single group member or both members, depending on how in-depth their question is
