Different management styles in terms of gender

is a vital and integral part of the health and well-being of any organization. As corporate organizations increased in size, formal top-down communication became the main concern of organizational managers. Specifically, the role of gender communication within the corporate world has become the highlight of many research studies and books. Some of these studies have shown that women play an important role in the balance within an organization dominated by males. Research has shown that women and men relate and communicate differently (Beasley, 2005). The fact that these differences exist outside of the corporate walls, means they also exist within the corporate walls as well. Men generally tend to communicate in a hierarchical, goal-oriented style, which is viewed as decisive and authoritative (Beasley, 2005). Women on the other hand tend to focus on participation of others in reaching goals and making decisions (Beasley, 2005).

Do men and women have different leadership styles? Men and women have many different gifts and abilities, and I know that a lot of people are afraid to say that because they dont want to stereotype anyone, but men and women are different, Women do have different leadership styles from men. Men and women generally have different styles when it comes to leadership. Research shows that the male and female brains are wired differently. Different perceptions and behaviors of men and women can in part be attributed to this different wiring. "Women tend to be stronger in the interpersonal aspects of leadership and in the competencies of planning and organising. This implies that women may make better project managers," Ainsworth added. "Men tend to be stronger in the behaviours that help an individual to progress their career. They're also seen as stronger in strategic thinking. These factors may be part of the reason why women are under-represented in senior management positions."
