SHAREDPLANNINGTIMEFORCOTEACHING: SupportingCoTeachingwithLimitedResources Withalittlecreativityandcommitment,yourcoteachingteamscanhaveover30hoursofsharedplanning withoutaschedulingnightmareandforlessthan$2,000fortheentireyear.Inthesummer,beginby providingastipendtohavetheteachersplantogetherfortheyearpriortothestartoftheircontracts.During theseeighthoursofplanning,muchofthestructurefortheyearcanbeestablished.Then,everyother week,eachteamcanhaveatleast1hourofsharedplanningbyalternatingafterschoolmeetingswiththe useofasubstituteforcoverage.Intotal,thecoteachersareonlycommittingtoworkafterschoolonehour amonth.AdditionalworkoninstructionaltaskscanbedoneviaelectronicmeanssuchasDropboxand GoogleGroups.
