This course has been designed specifically for all institutions involved in the domestic transfer of ruble payments on the SWIFT network.

Duration: one day

This Quick Start module is designed to provide you with guidelines to improve straight-through processing (STP).

Learn the rules to improve the quality of your SWIFT payment messages Test your knowledge with our exercise section Discover STP initiatives in the market and international organisations where standards are discussed This training program is built around four areas where the majority of problems preventing straight-through processing occur: the choice of the message types, i.e., the difference between the different methods to execute a payment, cover and serial identifying the beneficiary identifying correspondents use of narrative instructions. This module also contains all User Handbook information concerning the MT 103 payment message into one selfcontained reference guide. You can also test your understanding of the STP rules by going through our exercise section. In addition, a section on STP initiatives in payments will lead you to some standards initiatives and external Internet sites. A lot of effort goes in creating and delivering a course that fits your needs The dynamic world of financial telecommunications is characterised by a constant flood of innovations. Whenever new solutions are introduced (SWIFTNet, ISO 15022, MT 103, XML), the SWIFT Training team analyses the impact on the customer and defines the training that will address his needs. We carry out customer surveys and consult internal specialists to specify the course content and develop the supporting material.

We then carry out dry runs, which are internal courses where we gather feedback to further refine and polish the course. Once the material is ready for delivery, our expert instructors study the course. They are certified when they prove subject matter expertise and show a sound pedagogical approach during their own internal sessions. This is the basis for course delivery at SWIFT Training: only certified instructors will deliver courses to our customers! You can be assured that only knowledgeable specialists will provide you with accurate and up-to-date training and information.
Meeting our customers needs on a global basis To address our customers training needs on a world-wide scale, and offer training in the local language where possible, SWIFT Training enlists the support of a number of local partners.

Since the first partner, Alliance Factors in the Russian Federation, came on board in 1998, SWIFT Training has certified over 40 instructors in over 15 countries. Training partners are required to follow the same demanding certification process as our core instructors before being allowed to represent SWIFT at a SWIFT Training course. This involves several months of intensive coursework followed by certification from a senior SWIFT Training instructor.
