I. Introduction Objective: I can read a piece of text and construct a script that includes narration, direction, and dialogue, by using information within the original text. Anticipatory Set/Bell Ringer: Producers have decided to do a remake the 1st Percy Jackson movie. Would you rather . . . be an actor and play one of the characters (Percy, Annabeth, Grover, a god/goddess) be the director, and have total creative control be the screenwriter Agenda: 1. 6A Spelling Words Charades 2. Anticipatory Set: Write a FB post or tweet for Percy Jackson. Include 2 comments or replies from other characters who might respond to his post/tweet. We are about to start writing our scripts! Before talking with your group, which scene do you want to act out? Explain why you think that is a good scene for readers theater. Agenda: 1. Bell Ringer (anticipatory set) 2. Demonstrate how to set up script paper, show rubric for performance assessment 3.
