Foreword
This addendum specifies amendments and additions to the National Annex mentioned above. The addendum enters into force on the date stated. The addendum will be incorporated into the next revision of the National Annex.

Clauses where national choices have been made

Amendment: 3.7.2 (2) Modulus of elasticity in the absence of values determined by tests Where test data for the short term secant modules of elasticity are not available, the value of KE shall be determined as follows:

for clay unit masonry and/or calcium silicate unit masonry made with lime mortar with no cement content: KE = 150 fm for clay unit masonry and/or calcium silicate unit masonry made with mortar using other binder materials (such as cement): 20 min 400 1000 for lightweight aggregate concrete unit masonry: KE = 1000 for autoclaved aerated concrete unit masonry: KE = 450

where fk is the characteristic basic compressive strength of the masonry in MPa; fb is the normalised mean compressive strength of the masonry units in MPa; fm is the compressive strength of the mortar in MPa
