Lesson Title: Goal Boot Camp Cardio Students will continue to work collaboratively in a group setting to complete a group workout video. Students will participate in a workout video while taking mental notes of the various parts of a workout that can be incorporated in their workout projects. Grade Level: 6th Subject: Physical Education OBJECTIVE (S) INTELLIGENCES Standard Objectives: 2. Student will be able to use various workout components that are demonstrating in the workout video in their Kinesthetic, Verbal personal workout video Visual, Naturalist project. Procedure Day 1: 1. Anticipatory Set (10-15min) A. APK: On a sticky note, ask students to recall any of the benefits from participating long-term physical activity that were discussed in yesterdays lesson. 2. I Do Introduction (Direct Instruction) (10 min). This is another day full of great cardio exercise that the students can participate in. Demonstrate a few of the steps from the video before starting the video. Allow students to see the pace and encourage them to have fun and not to stop. Discuss that this video will have other ideas they can use in their workout video.

3. We Do: (15-20 min) Prepare in advance the YouTube video or workout video of your choice either from a computer and document camera or the Apply TV. Play the video where all student can see and with enough space for students to move around as they follow the video. Participate with the video with as well. Cardio Kick box with Chris Freytag http://youtu.be/oWGJk5WUVrU Make sure that the students have plenty of space so they do not kick anyone. Play the video for about 15-20 minutes depending on. Provide a cool down segment for the students, as the video will not be over. 4. You Do (Rest of class) Allow students to continue working on their fitness plans. Monitor and observe the students. Provide additional instruction and clarification regarding the project. 5. Closure/Assessment: Ask students to think-pair-share about the two different workout videos that they participated in this week. 6. Remind students to be prepared to have video ready to share and show to the class in the following lesson. Videos can uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo or left on their iPad or mobile device.
