Coven Creation Ritual

1. The Leader casts the circle with salt saying, with this salt I purify this circle. All members walk into the circle and stand in a circle formation. The once the leader is inside circle is then closed with the salt and the words, I now close this circle. 2. The leader takes her place and sits down; everyone joins hands. Leader: I call on the element of earth, asking the gifts of health, strength and prosperity, for the coven to be born! I call on the element of air, asking the gifts of intelligence, imagination and inspiration for the coven to be I call on the element of fire, asking the gifts of energy, will and passion, for the coven to be born! I call on the element of water, asking the gifts of love and empathy for the coven to be born! All members: Blessed Be! 3. We few are gathered to celebrate the creation of this new coven so that we may honor the divine, celebrate the wheel of the year, to explore and work with magick & nature, and in all ways to serve the religions of the old path. All Members: Blessed Be! 4. The leader then turns to a bowl of salt water and calls on each member at a time by their magickal name. Leader: now state a part of this Are you ready, dear follower of the old path, for this new decision to help create this coven family? Good, your name so that all my hear it, and become group we create today! Leader:

Once the member has spoken their magickal name the leader then dips her finger into the salt water and draws a pentacle onto their forehead. 5. The leader then speaks her own name and states that she will try her hardest to be a worthy leader. She then draws a pentacle on her forehead as well, and goes to take her place back in the circle. 6. Members now bow their heads as the leader says, Let us now fall into a meditation state. I want each of you to visualize this coven growing strong. I want

you to see the wonders we will create both magickal and non magickal as a coven. 7. After a couple of minutes the leader stands and says: Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water we thank thee for attending, and bringing to our new coven Your strength, health and prosperity!
